Speed Up Your House Sale With Simple Staging Strategies
Staging continues to play a key role in buying and selling homes – 31% of real estate agents say home staging “greatly decreased” the amount of time homes spent on the market last year, while 23% say it increases home value by 1%-5%, the most recent National Association of Realtors Home Staging report reveals. By taking care to stage your home, you can make it look move-in ready and help buyers better imagine what it could look like once they move in.
Reassess room layouts
Reassess room layouts to ensure each space is looking its best. Here, you should aim for aesthetics over comfort or practicality. So, for instance, maybe you position a table too close to a drawer or cabinet, so it can’t open or close completely – that’s okay. As long as you’re focusing on creating a stylish and balanced look in the room, practicality doesn’t have to be a concern. Similarly, there’s no need to overthink television placement, either (some agents get too fixated on whether the television is visible from various seats). Yet, since people won’t be watching the television during viewings, this matter is also irrelevant for selling purposes.
Add accessories
Accessories can have a big impact on the overall ambiance of a room. Candles and essential oil diffusers, for example, look pretty, while also creating a cozy, welcoming environment. Also, consider grouping several objects together to form an eye-catching vignette – for instance, a candle, vase, and coffee table book can together create a simple yet stylish display. Photos can also be an attractive addition to prevent a room looking too sparse. By having your photo dry-mounted, you can also prevent unwanted creasing and ensure longevity.
Be smart with color
Revamping your home’s color scheme is also wise. A fresh lick of paint can brighten a space, make it feel larger, and make your home look well-maintained. Ideally, you should stick with lighter colors like white, pastels, and neutrals; unlike bold, dark colors, these shades are a safe option that can best create a lighter, brighter space. That said, an occasional pop of color can still work wonders. So, throw in a colorful pillow or throw, or an uplifting piece of wall art to add a stylish element of surprise. Another excellent surprise could be adding a chic heating solution, such as a Designer Anthracite Radiator, to enhance the overall aesthetic appeal of your rooms.
Incorporate practical elements
While focusing on aesthetics is essential, don’t overlook practicality. Consider integrating functional yet stylish elements into your home, such as cheap white radiators that provide efficient heating while seamlessly blending with your interior design. These radiators offer an affordable heating solution that doesn’t compromise on visual appeal. Opting for such practical additions can enhance the comfort of your living space, making it even more appealing to potential buyers. Remember, a well-balanced combination of aesthetics and functionality can significantly elevate the overall value and desirability of your home during the staging process.
Staging your home can make it look better and facilitate a quicker sale. By reassessing room layouts, adding accessories, and rethinking your color scheme, you can attract buyers and get your home off the market faster.
