What inspired you to start in real estate and how did you motivate yourself to keep going?
I have always had a deep fascination with real estate. From a young age, my mother would take my sister and me on outings to explore various houses and admire different architectural styles. These experiences ignited a passion within me for the world of real estate. It wasn’t until I started my own family that I finally made the decision to pursue a career as a broker.
Motivation in the real estate industry can be challenging, as it often involves hard work and is not always as glamorous as portrayed on platforms like TikTok. It requires dedication, perseverance, and a willingness to navigate through numerous transactions. From drafting countless documents to coordinating and cooperating with all parties involved, real estate demands consistent effort and attention to detail.
Despite the challenges, I believe that consistency is the key to success in the real estate market. By maintaining a steadfast approach and consistently putting in the necessary work, one can achieve their goals and thrive in this industry.
Comparing your business from back then to now, what has been the main thing that allowed you to expand your business?
Throughout my career in real estate, I have consistently pushed myself to go above and beyond for my clients. My unwavering dedication lies in my commitment to adding value to their transactions, not solely focusing on monetary gains. By prioritizing their needs and goals, I am able to showcase my genuine passion for the industry, which resonates with my clients and fosters strong, trusting relationships.
What’s the most profitable aspect of your business, why do you think this is and how can others apply this to what they are doing?
Incorporating residential appraisal services into our business has proven to be an incredibly profitable venture. Not only does it enhance the range of expertise we provide to our clients, but it also adds significant value to the services we offer. By offering appraisal services, we are able to provide a comprehensive and well-rounded approach to the real estate market, ensuring that our clients receive the most accurate and reliable assessments of their properties. This has undoubtedly been a game-changer for our business, solidifying our position as a trusted and sought-after resource in the industry.
My advice to other agents or agencies is to try and partner with an appraisal to be able to offer that sort of expertise.
When did you realize you were successful and how did you feel?
Throughout my journey in real estate, there have been several moments where I felt a sense of accomplishment and success. One such moment was when I closed my first major deal, which was a culmination of hard work, dedication, and perseverance. It was a truly gratifying experience to see all my efforts pay off and to know that I had made a significant impact in the lives of my clients.
To celebrate this milestone, I took some time to reflect on my journey and appreciate the progress I had made. I also treated myself to a nice dinner with my loved ones, where we celebrated the achievement together. It was a moment of joy and pride, knowing that I had reached a significant milestone in my real estate career.
But I will say, it’s important to note that I’m not complacent with my success. It is a continuous journey of setting goals and working towards them. While I have had moments of celebration, I believe that true success lies in consistently striving to improve, grow, and provide exceptional service to my clients.
Looking back, what could you have done sooner to get to that point quicker?
Looking back, there definitely are a few things I could have done sooner to expedite my progress. Firstly, I could have focused more on networking and building relationships within the industry. Connecting with other professionals and learning from their experiences could have provided valuable insights and shortcuts to success. Additionally, I could have invested more time and effort into expanding my knowledge and skill set. Continuously educating myself on market trends, new technologies, and industry best practices would have given me a competitive edge and allowed me to adapt more quickly to changing circumstances. Lastly, I could have been more proactive in seeking out mentorship and guidance from seasoned professionals. Learning from their wisdom and avoiding common pitfalls could have saved me time and helped me navigate the real estate landscape more efficiently.
What should other real estate entrepreneurs reading this be focusing on to expand their own business?
For other real estate entrepreneurs looking to expand their own business, it is crucial to focus on several key areas. Firstly, it is important to continuously strive for excellence and constantly seek ways to add value to your clients and their transactions. This can be achieved by staying up-to-date with market trends, offering innovative solutions, and providing exceptional customer service. Additionally, networking and building strong relationships within the industry can greatly contribute to business growth. Collaborating with other professionals, attending industry events, and actively participating in real estate communities can open doors to new opportunities and expand your reach. Lastly, embracing technology and leveraging digital platforms can significantly enhance your business operations and attract a wider client base. By staying adaptable and embracing change, real estate entrepreneurs can position themselves for success and continued growth in the industry.
How has social media and online marketing affected your real estate business? How much more success have you had now after implementing social media and online marketing efforts?
Social media and online marketing have had a significant impact on my real estate business. I have be able to create a significant following by connecting with others through hobbies and pastimes. By leveraging these platforms, I have been able to reach a wider audience and connect with potential clients in a more efficient and targeted manner. The implementation of social media and online marketing efforts has resulted in a substantial increase in my success. I have seen a significant rise in leads and conversions, ultimately leading to more closed deals and higher revenue.
How did you build your team?
As a relatively small team, we are constantly seeking opportunities for growth and expansion. I find great joy in sharing the knowledge and experience I have accumulated over the years with newer agents, as it allows me to pass the torch and contribute to their professional development. By fostering a culture of mentorship and collaboration, we can create a supportive environment where everyone can thrive and succeed. Together, we can build a strong and dynamic team that is equipped to tackle any challenge in the real estate industry.
How did you become a good leader?
Becoming a good leader in the real estate industry requires a combination of experience, knowledge, and personal growth. I have honed my leadership skills by actively seeking opportunities to learn and grow, whether through attending leadership seminars, reading books on leadership, or seeking mentorship from successful leaders in the industry. Additionally, I have learned to effectively communicate with my team, provide guidance and support, and lead by example. It is also important to continuously adapt and evolve as a leader, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices. Overall, becoming a good leader is a continuous journey of self-improvement and dedication to the success of both the team and the business.
Did You Experience Failures? If So, What Did You Learn From Them?
Throughout my journey, I have encountered numerous failures that I consider to be valuable teaching moments. Each setback has provided me with invaluable lessons and insights that have shaped me into the leader I am today. While it may seem like I have experienced enough failures for a lifetime, I believe that these experiences have been instrumental in my growth and development.
What do you consider the main differences between those people who have been successful in your industry and those who have failed?
The main differences between those who have been successful in the real estate industry and those who have failed can be attributed to several factors. Firstly, successful individuals tend to have a strong work ethic and are willing to put in the necessary time and effort to achieve their goals. They are also proactive in seeking out new opportunities and staying updated on market trends. Additionally, successful individuals often possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, allowing them to build strong relationships with clients and close deals effectively. On the other hand, those who have failed may lack these qualities or may not have adapted to changes in the industry. It is important to continuously learn and evolve in order to stay ahead in the competitive real estate market.
What’s Your Approach To Marketing?
My approach for marketing in the real estate industry is multifaceted. I utilize a combination of traditional marketing strategies, such as print advertisements and direct mail campaigns, as well as digital marketing techniques, such as social media advertising and search engine optimization. Additionally, I prioritize building strong relationships with clients and networking within the industry to generate referrals and word-of-mouth marketing. Overall, my goal is to create a comprehensive marketing plan that reaches a wide audience and effectively showcases the properties I represent.

To new agents or individuals contemplating a career in the real estate industry, I want to extend an open invitation to reach out to me at any time.
