What inspired you to start in real estate and how did you motivate yourself to keep going?

 

I’ve always had a love for real estate, even from a young age. Understanding the market and genuinely helping people make the biggest purchase of their life has always intrigued me and continues to be a reason I keep going. Buying a first, a second home, a forever home, often defines the context of how a family will live and evolve. While each family is different, helping them find that place to call home is truly rewarding.

Comparing your business from back then to now, what has been the main thing that allowed you to expand your business?

 

Initially when I started, my focus was solely on the city of Boston. As the team I’m on expanded to the suburbs, I realized each town offers a very different story. With appropriate research and analytics, I can offer sound advice whether it be in Boston Proper or any of the beautiful areas surrounding Massachusetts. It is now much more frequent that I speak with clients about the city, the suburbs, and secondary homes (the Cape, Vineyard, Berkshires) in the same stream of thought.

 


 

What’s the most profitable aspect of your business, why do you think this is and how can others apply this to what they are doing?

 

I would have to say exposure. Social media has transformed the way clients think about real estate, interact with real estate, purchase real estate and sell real estate. Every property that I post on social media is immediately projected towards several thousands of followers which completely disrupts the traditional process of buying and selling real estate. This is and will inevitably lead to a more efficient real estate market guided by transparency and technological innovation. I would recommend other agents to engage on social media as much as possible with different accounts and hashtags. The more you engage with others, the better your chances are of growing a following. Your following is the key to widen your outreach.

 


 

When did you realize you were successful/made it and how did you feel/celebrate?

 

I feel blessed and humbled by the trust my clients and friends put in me, however success in this industry is a moving target. Every time I close a deal, I feel rewarded simply knowing my client is happy and that I was able to help them. Of course, I do love a good toast in honor of a closed deal. However, I prepare myself to be ready for the next transaction and the needs of other clients.

What should other real estate entrepreneurs reading this be focusing on to expand their own business?

 

Their own natural network. Like with much of business, its always most rewarding when one helps the people they enjoy and those who love doing the same things that he or she is passionate about. I do what I love, I meet people I enjoy spending time with, and I find opportunities to help solve their real estate solutions.

 


 

Final Thoughts

 

Real estate is absolutely a lifestyle from the moment I wake up to the moment I go to sleep. The best aspect is I’m allowed to be who I am and create relationships from my hobbies and passions outside of real estate. If you look at my social media, you’ll see I’m a Realtor but you also learn so much more about myself. I’m a model, advocating for short women and continuously making strides in that industry. I run a women empowerment page in a magazine where I aim to interview women and their unique stories. Plus so much more, such as my beautiful golden retriever and skiing. All of this creates who I am, how I connect with others, and folds into my success. For that, I am thankful and excited as I continue to grow as a Realtor and my individual, unique self.
