What inspired you to start in real estate and how did you motivate yourself to keep going?

I was inspired by my husband, Chris who is a real estate agent for the greater Albuquerque area. Sitting in the background hearing his conversation, about his day, and seeing the relationships his developed with his clients truly inspired me. Our kids are our biggest supporters and hype crew! When we drive by a listing of ours or show them photos they never fail to give us positive feedback!

My clients are what keep me motivated.
Everything I do is 100% for our clients so that they find (or sell) the best house for the best price. Moving is high on the list of stressful things to do, so when I’m able to ease stress and burden for my clients and to help them get where they want to go, it feels good.
I love my job, because of the people I meet! Everyone has a story, and each one fascinates me. It’s the people I meet, that I would otherwise not have known, and the life stories they share with me that I love, love, love the most about my job.

It’s a job I truly love… no matter the day!

Comparing your business from back then to now, what has been the main thing that allowed you to expand your business?

I’m new to this business, but that’s what makes me valuable. I know I have to make a name for myself in a business with many successful, hardworking individuals. With that said, I work hard and go above and beyond. My husband and I are a team and he has been able to teach me a lot and we work hand in hand with one another on all transactions. Being able to team up has been a blessing.

What’s the most profitable aspect of your business, why do you think this is and how can others apply this to what they are doing?

Marketing is the most profitable aspect of our Team. Specifically through social media platforms.
I have a background in marketing and graphic design which is beneficial to us because I am able to create a majority of our content. There is no waiting for us, we can advertise immediately cause we are not waiting on a company for content or designs.

When did you realize you were successful/made it and how did you feel/celebrate?

In the real estate business, your success can change rather quickly so my husband and I are never complacent. We are always working and looking to grow. When we realized the success that has been coming we poured it back into our business. New software, marketing money, and education.
To celebrate we do stuff has a family like a mini vacation. Including our kids in Eylicio Realty Team is important to us. We want them to strive to work hard as we do for them.

Looking back, what could you have done sooner to get to that point quicker?

Success doesn’t come overnight, especially in real estate. One thing that we could’ve done differently was to not feel discouraged. You have to be consistent and willing to put in the work to get your name out there in a career filled with many.

What should other real estate entrepreneurs reading this be focusing on to expand their own business?

Social media marketing. It can be free if you wish to not pay for additional ads and it is also: instant advertisement from the moment you publish it!

How did you build your team?

My husband and I are a power team under Realty One of New Mexico. We built a team of people who we can rely on. Each person plays a part in our business. From title company, lender(s), inspector(s) and etc..

We can call any of the above at any give time and ask they questions when we have a unique situation ( even if they aren’t working with us directly on that transaction) and they always help with great advice!

Our amazing photographer, David Maestas who shoots for us and other agents. His quality and turnaround time is crucial to us and we appreciate him very much!

Lastly our kids they are there for the support. Our kids cheer us on, give us encouragement and never complain about tagging along with us!
