What inspired you to start in real estate and how did you motivate yourself to keep going?
Heading into my senior year in high school I discovered some shocking news….. I was going to become a young mother. Leo’s father was not involved in the picture until several months after he was born. Not knowing what life was going to look like ahead, I was determined we were going to make it through whatever trail we were about to face. After failing the real estate exam nearly 13 times, I finally passed the 14th attempt. My motto was this, “If it’s not this time, it will be the next.” My son has been my ultimate motivation. I will never depend on any other than myself to create our dream life.
Comparing your business from back then to now, what has been the main thing that allowed you to expand your business?
Your NETWORK is your NET WORTH. Learning how to master net working and building lasting and personal relationships is essential in the real estate business. Through social media, I have been able to connect with a wide variety of audiences by being a young mother, young entrupenur and successful business owner. Throughout these past 3 years, I have established a leadership and Influencer role here within my community located in the Treasure Valley.
What’s the most profitable aspect of your business, why do you think this is and how can others apply this to what they are doing?
Creating a reputable personal name brand that your clients want to work with. When you are well known within your community, it creates a form of trust and integrity which will ultimately lead to a referral based business. 90% of Real Estate by Arrow & CO’s business comes from our past clients. We pride ourselves in providing a luxury experience & creating a lasting a relationship that far exceeds the timeline of a single transaction.
When did you realize you were successful/made it and how did you feel/celebrate?
The moment I realized I was successful was when I closed $20,000 in a single month my first full year in real estate. From there, I knew the sky was the limit. This year, which was my second full year in real estate, I earned my first six figure year. I was also asked to be a guest speaker in the Podcast called ” Moms making Six Figures”, Hosted by Heidi Bartolotta. Haven’t publicly shared my earned income, I was slightly nervous to hear the feedback from my peers. Come to find out, the responses I received filled my heart. Many individuals come to me for guidance and look up to me. Nothing makes me feel more accomplished than to become a young leader and example to those around me and in my community. We are here to lift each other up. Theres more than enough to go around.
Looking back, what could you have done sooner to get to that point quicker?
Learning how to build myself up as quickly as possible. Focusing on confidence building activities to help me grow and feel comfortable when presenting and meeting with new clients. Being a young business owner, this was something I struggled with early in my career. I would only work with younger clients. Now that I have more experience under my belt, I feel knowledgable and confident to take on any real estate project.
What should other real estate entrepreneurs reading this be focusing on to expand their own business?
As a real estate influencer, I get asked this question regularly. My answer is simple. You want to be the BEST in your clients eyes. You must create a professional and trusted business brand. Be authentic with your marketing and show up as yourself. Provide value to your sphere.
How has social media and online marketing affected your real estate business? How much more success have you had now after implementing social media and online marketing efforts?
Social media has become the main pillar source for my business. By consistently staying top of mind, I have created an abundant amount of connections both in and out of the Treasure Valley. I have also become a contact source for other out-of-state realtors to refer business to within the Boise area.
How did you become a good leader?
When I think of a strong leader I think of an individual that has accumulated quite a bit of life experience. A good leader must have a high level of self awareness. I was born with this quality which has immensely played a role in both business and my personal life. I have not let the unknown shy me away from seeking out my destiny. My pains and life lessons have been the fuel to my passion. I allow growth and discomfort into my life so I can mold into the powerful young woman that I am today and to be an example and role model to those around me. Growing up, I have naturally always been a strong leader. I enjoy getting things done and help others along the way.
Did You Experience Failures? If So, What Did You Learn From Them?
I have experienced many failures. It has been the key factor for my growth and I am grateful for every single lesson that I have learned along. The more risks I have taken, the more lessons I have learned, which has ultimately polished up my expertise in the real estate business. I welcome growth in all the areas of my life.
What do you consider the main differences between those people who have been successful in your industry and those who have failed?
Living in an abundant state of mind. Many agents jump into real estate thinking it’s a “quick & easy” source to make a living. There is much more to real estate than creating a large income. It’s about creating a customized experience for your clients and building lasting relationships.
