Interview with Karishma Naidu – Real Estate Agent
A positive & upbeat professional who loves to Help others and spread a smile.
Houston , TX
At Group, NextGen Real Estate
What inspired you to start in real estate and how did you motivate yourself to keep going?
I love connecting with people, Coming from a background of entrepreneurship & Fashion Styling, I enjoy helping others to be their best and feel their best. Seeing others happy, makes me feel great and affirms purpose and fulfillment.
Comparing your business from back then to now, what has been the main thing that allowed you to expand your business?
Everything that I’ve done has got me to where I am today, Joining a great Mastermind team & Brokerage (NextGen Real Estate) has allowed me to push myself and collaborate with other agents to support one another and grow together. Being in a positive environment opens up many possibilities and opportunities that you didn’t know existed.
What’s the most profitable aspect of your business, why do you think this is and how can others apply this to what they are doing?
Social media, positive mindset & Kindness!
You have to show who you really are on social media and be consistent with it! You may have a lot of following but having the right mindset with your audience is where it’s at. People learn everything about you through your profile, so be yourself, be positive, and be consistent.
Did You Experience Failures? If So, What Did You Learn From Them?
I would lie if I said No. I am glad to have experienced the lows in the industry as failure has been my best teacher. I’ve learnt so much just by trying several different things. Failure is expected and can always be anticipated, but it’s the rebound that counts. Learn from the mistakes or mishaps and keep pushing to be better. Don’t hesitate to try new things even if there is a chance of doubt, you never know what may happen so don’t be scared of it.
What do you consider the main differences between those people who have been successful in your industry and those who have failed?
Consistency & having the right support system in the beginning. Don’t let things slow you down, keep reminding yourself of your end goal and keep moving forward. Sometimes things don’t go your way, but at some point you have to sit back and reflect on what went wrong, make changes to the game plan, and then take that deep breath and move on.
What’s Your Approach To Marketing?
My Mentor (Andrea Tran) always says; “social media is your resume”. My approach to Marketing is creating that unforgettable first impression. People want to see the real you and for me I find that being kind, courteous and approachable opens more doors of opportunities.
