What inspired you to start in real estate and how did you motivate yourself to keep going?
I chose to be a Real Estate Professional because every venture with clients in a home buying/selling process is unique and from it I keep gaining more knowledge every time. The client interaction bond while home hunting is what I love the most in my career. Every single home in Vancouver has a exclusive story that demands careful attention in order to guide clients through accordingly. Being a people’s person, the top priority is to make sure my clients are heard by listening to their ‘wants/needs’ in order to achieve the best outcome in every transaction, with outmost integrity. This is the solid foundation I stand on for my services and build from throughout my real estate career. It was very important for me to set this standard right from the start and that is what has kept me motivated knowing that I am doing my job by being dependable while following through with my commitments.
What’s the most profitable aspect of your business, why do you think this is and how can others apply this to what they are doing?
Market knowledge is the obvious answer BUT when you mix it with unparalleled customer service then you become a powerful tool in the real estate world. I was once called a ‘Personal Vancouver Concierge’ by one of my clients and I really liked that. To provide insights about different neighbourhoods, favourite restaurants, schools, activities really creates the lifestyle living of not only the home but with all it’s surroundings for my clients.
When did you realize you were successful/made it and how did you feel/celebrate?
For me the feeling of success is receiving invites to informal get togethers in the homes of satisfied clients. More importantly it is being in touch with them throughout the years and also by selling the homes they originally purchased from me to upgrade or downsize into. These key elements remind me that I am on a successful path in my Real Estate career.
What should other real estate entrepreneurs reading this be focusing on to expand their own business?
The best real estate agents in the business have a special skill for achieving their clients’ needs and matching those needs with the right piece of real estate. When you put your clients’ interests first, you will succeed in real estate. It is of outmost importance to listen to your clients and then be able to guide them best in their real estate journey. The real estate agents who are successful in the industry are the ones keeping a positive attitude at all times, and that makes for 100% of your success.
How has social media and online marketing affected your real estate business? How much more success have you had now after implementing social media and online marketing efforts?
In today’s digitally oriented era, my social media and marketing has definitely helped me boost my online presence. It is a excellent platform for communicating with our existing and target clients. It is the best tool to enhance my credibility and branding and I was grateful to connect with prospects not only locally in Vancouver but also internationally.
