What inspired you to start in real estate and how did you motivate yourself to keep going?
I have always had a passion for real estate since High School. I was inspired to become a real estate agent because it afforded me the opportunity to do something I love. Helping people create generational wealth and achieve a life long goal by assisting them obtain the largest investment of their life is what keeps me motivated.
How has social media and online marketing affected your real estate business? How much more success have you had now after implementing social media and online marketing efforts?
Initially, I didn’t leverage my social media. It’s something I recently started doing. After seeing my social media friends and followers buying homes with other agents and telling me “I didn’t know you were a real estate agent”, I realized I needed to shift my focus and leverage my social media network more to grow my business.
Did You Experience Failures? If So, What Did You Learn From Them?
I definitely experienced failures. I tried to do every aspect of real estate as opposed to narrowing my niche and mastering a few. I learned to master one thing at a time and not to be afraid to delegate administrative responsibilities to be able to focus on selling and providing a high level of exceptional service to my clients.
What Should Other Real Estate Entrepreneurs Reading This Be Focusing On To Expand Their Own Business?
A.B.S…. Always Be Selling. Sell yourself at all times because everyone at some point has the potential to be a future client. Make sure you have the right systems in place so when your business takes off, you’re prepared to handle it.
What Do You Consider The Main Differences Between Those People Who Have Been Successful In Your Industry And Those Who Have Failed?
Persistence. With any business, the first year is tough. In Atlanta, everyone knows at least 2 real estate agents so you have to be the stand out agent. It takes 8-10 touches to convert a lead and many people give up after 2.
