What inspired you to start in real estate and how did you motivate yourself to keep going?

I started in Real Estate because of my father. He was big into real estate investing and got me into it. From there I quit my old job to be able to not only help people buy and sell but to study the market for my own investments. Real Estate has defiantly come with highs and lows but the fact that real estate has no ceiling has motivated me to keep at it and GROW!

Comparing your business from back then to now, what has been the main thing that allowed you to expand your business?

The biggest difference between when I started and now is the way I’ve used social media to scale and grow. When I started my business was almost 100% people I already knew. As I learned how to leverage my social platforms properly, I began to meet new clients and run a sustainable business working with people I like.

What’s the most profitable aspect of your business, why do you think this is and how can others apply this to what they are doing?

The most profitable aspect of any real estate agents business is how they lead generate. There are many ways you can go about doing this but my biggest and most profitable aspect is my instagram and soon to be my youtube channel. The biggest thing I learned is to lead with value!! No matter how big or small your social platforms are, if you lead with value you will gain attention and therefor business.

When did you realize you were successful/made it and how did you feel/celebrate?

A huge flaw of mine is I never feel like I’ve made it! I know there is always more and places to improve. I need to work on celebrating the mini victories more but for now the grind always continues!!! Maybe when this pandemic is over I can take some time off to relax with my beautiful girlfriend!!

Looking back, what could you have done sooner to get to that point quicker?

I wish I had gotten my systems and processes figured out sooner! Many of us just wing everything and the truth is you don’t have a business if it’s not repeatable and scaleable. This could be as simple as your listing presentations or your social media posting routine but it needs to be repeatable and structured. I’m still constantly working to improve this.

What should other real estate entrepreneurs reading this be focusing on to expand their own business?

I see a huge shift in how real estate agents do business. Everything is online, virtual, and on social media. Agents need to be evolving with the business and the world so if you are not on certain platforms or don’t know how to use current technologies you better figure it out because there is a major shift in how agents do business!

How has social media and online marketing affected your real estate business? How much more success have you had now after implementing social media and online marketing efforts?

It has affected my business immensely! At this moment almost 100% of my business comes from Social Media. It allows clients to know you, like you, and trust you at their own pace and comfort to the point where clients begin to reach out to you when they are ready vs the other way around. Social media has been an absolute game changer in my business.

How did you build your team?

Growing a team is just like attracting clients. I try to lead with value wherever possible. Many agents are attracted to growing their business online and our team specializes in social media by offering courses, training, and mentorship.

How did you become a good leader?

If you want to grow your business no matter what you do you will eventually need to step up and be a leader. It’s happened through constantly putting yourself outside your comfort zone and growing as a person. Something I’m always working on getting better at.

Did You Experience Failures? If So, What Did You Learn From Them?

I have experienced so many failures. You don’t get successful in this business without a ton of failures. The failures are just like repetitions at the gym. You need to do a lot of reps to build muscle and you need to fail a lot to be successful. Once you reframe your failures you can see the positive in them and grow from them!

What do you consider the main differences between those people who have been successful in your industry and those who have failed?

The main difference is work ethic and consistency. The only magic pill to anything in life is consistency and if you choose to do something and be consistent with it you will get great at it. Many people bounce around from idea to idea but never really master one thing that they can be a professional at.
