What inspired you to start in real estate and how did you motivate yourself to keep going?

After running my own successful person training business , I wanted something more challenging in a way where I was still working with people intimately and helping them along their life journey. To be honest I’m not always motivated, it’s the discipline in myself that keeps me going.

Comparing your business from back then to now, what has been the main thing that allowed you to expand your business?

Really putting myself out there and not letting my own fears and insecurities take over. Which allows me to talk to more people confidently and more frequently.

What’s the most profitable aspect of your business, why do you think this is and how can others apply this to what they are doing?

I would say Social Media is a huge aspect of my business. The reason is, I can put out my own free content out there , that allows me to have several conversations daily, which generates leads , which then turns into clients. I feel that social media is sometimes underrated. If you are not on there , start it today.

When did you realize you were successful/made it and how did you feel/celebrate?

To be very transparent I tend to feel it’s never enough. Once I hit my goal or target I personally don’t ever feel satisfied. However with the being said , I do try and celebrate the small wins. I can oftentimes be hard on myself and I need to realize and appreciate all that I have done so far. But when the wins do happen you can count on a full bottle of red wine and good friends! Success is in the mindset!

Looking back, what could you have done sooner to get to that point quicker?

Listen to my mentors lol.

What should other real estate entrepreneurs reading this be focusing on to expand their own business?

Make sure they have there foundation, systems and models in place 100% before expanding.

How has social media and online marketing affected your real estate business? How much more success have you had now after implementing social media and online marketing efforts?

Online marketing has been the main drive for my business so far. Maybe because I’m a millennial, I’ve always been using social media platforms for my businesses. Especially right now I feel online marketing is more important than ever. With everyone working from home and being more and more online, it’s a very powerful tool. I try to keep my marketing real to me and the person I am.

How did you build your team?

No team yet. I work alongside my mentor who is truly amazing. At this point in my career I’m not even thinking about building my own team. I’m only focused on myself. However I could foresee myself working alongside or for my mentor someday if he ever decides to take that route.

How did you become a good leader?

Definitely playing sports at a very young age gave me the confidence and people skills I needed and use today.

Did You Experience Failures? If So, What Did You Learn From Them?

All the time. I make mistakes and fail pretty much every week lol. Can be big or small. Important or unimportant. You can genuinely say or do the wrong thing without even knowing and completely lose the trust of a client. With this sometimes you have to bite the bullet. Realize what’s done and done and to always remember this so you can learn. I see them all as opportunities and experiences. We are human, we are not robots.

What do you consider the main differences between those people who have been successful in your industry and those who have failed?

The success people in my industry keep getting back up. People don’t actually realize how intense , overwhelming and stressful our industry can be at times. We are dealing with people’s emotions and finances. The main difference between the successful people in my industry and those who have failed is work ethic. If you are not willing to put in the work day in and day out it’s going to show. And trust me you won’t last long in this career.

What’s Your Approach To Marketing?

I want people to remember me. I don’t want to bore them with the same old same old cookie cutter real estate crap. My approach to marketing is showcasing my life along with my career and being my honest real self. I want to make people laugh but also educate them along the way. One day I might be talking about the market another day I might be dancing around like a fool. Some days I might speak my mind too much and in those cases I just say it causes more exposure. People want to see reality.

Final Thoughts

Real Estate is one of those careers where people think it’s easy peasy. To be honest I did when I first started. This is a cut throat career and if you are not on your A game you will get knocked off your feet. But with that being said it is one of those careers if you are truly ready to put in the work and actually care about people’s well beings and what’s best for them not you, you will go really far. I’ve always been a people person. You would describe me as versatile. I get along with anyone and everyone. And that’s because I see people as people. I love what I do and I’m grateful I get to spend my days guiding people through the Real Estate Process.
