What inspired you to start in real estate and how did you motivate yourself to keep going?

 

I was motivated by the opportunity to help others while also working for myself. With freedom comes creativity and the platform to build my business the way that works best for me and allows me to do more.

Comparing your business from back then to now, what has been the main thing that allowed you to expand your business?

 

Turning feelings of fear into motivation to try harder. There will always be fear trying to hold us back, but I worked on using it as fuel to fail and learn from those failures.

 


 

What’s the most profitable aspect of your business, why do you think this is and how can others apply this to what they are doing?

 

For now, the most profitable aspect is social media and referrals. From my experience, the more authentic the relationship, the more successful it is. I would suggest to others to find out what comes most authentic to them, whatever that may be, and push harder in those areas.

 


 

When did you realize you were successful/made it and how did you feel/celebrate?

 

I think I am still growing towards “making it”, but when I am successful in closing a deal or receiving a referral, I celebrate internally by acknowledging my growth and stopping to honor that present moment. I never want to stop celebrating each small moment because they are all important to the entire journey.

Looking back, what could you have done sooner to get to that point quicker?

 

Not be too afraid and go for it. Instead of being afraid of a negative outcome, I wish I would have just headed for the outcome, no matter positive or negative.

 


 

What should other real estate entrepreneurs reading this be focusing on to expand their own business?

 

Focus on being yourself and allow people to see it. As Realtors, we are not all the same and our business models don’t have to be either. There are so many people in this world who won’t work well with your personality and that’s okay. There are tons more who will.

 


 

How has social media and online marketing affected your real estate business? How much more success have you had now after implementing social media and online marketing efforts?

 

It has affected my business immensely. Especially during COVID-19, it allowed me to reach potential clients and my sphere of influence without always having the ability to see them in person. It allows me to post pictures, videos, education and entertainment pertaining to my business, best of all for FREE. Yes, I can promote posts or create ads, but all you need is a few people to share your post or profile for free and you could get business that way too. I like that I get to show who I am and let people know I’m here for them and their best interest. That’s what matters to me the most!

Did You Experience Failures? If So, What Did You Learn From Them?

 

Absolutely! Failures never stop happening and each time I learn something. It might be an important lesson pertaining to my business or even to me personally. They also help build my confidence and resilience.

 


 

What do you consider the main differences between those people who have been successful in your industry and those who have failed?

 

I think the number one difference is the ability to keep going. Our industry is always up and down, but those that keep showing up will be successful in the long run.
