What inspired you to start in real estate and how did you motivate yourself to keep going?
Shannon is one of Arizona’s leading residential real estate professionals, with more than 15 years of experience. She is recognized and admired for her extensive market knowledge, dynamic negotiating skills, strong work-ethic, forward thinking marketing and her unparalleled service. Shannon grew up in Chandler and has an intimate knowledge of the Southeast Valley of Phoenix neighborhoods. She is actively involved in the local community, volunteering within her Church and is the co-founder of Purpose Movement, a local non-profit that helps serve those in need in Maricopa County. For every home closed, she makes a generous donation to help people in need. She resides in Queen Creek with her husband, three boys and two rescue dogs.
Comparing your business from back then to now, what has been the main thing that allowed you to expand your business?
Implementing video and instagram, staying consistent with those.
What’s the most profitable aspect of your business, why do you think this is and how can others apply this to what they are doing?
I don’t take any short cuts with my listing marketing, when most agents just throw their listing up in MLS and wait for the buyers to find it I invest in a professional video for every home I list. I target market the video to thousands of prospective buyers, helping my listings sell for top dollar.
When did you realize you were successful/made it and how did you feel/celebrate?
I was recently asked to be a guest on the Tom Ferry Podcast, this is the #1 Real Estate podcast in the world. It’s a goal I wrote down but never thought it would actually happen!
What should other real estate entrepreneurs reading this be focusing on to expand their own business?
Everything you need to know is out there for free on Podcasts, google and youtube. I would suggest to learn everything you can and implement a few things and stay consistent. It will pay off.
How has social media and online marketing affected your real estate business? How much more success have you had now after implementing social media and online marketing efforts?
Staying consistent on instagram and with video marketing I am to a point in my career where I do not have to buy leads or cold call, I literally have people reach out to me and ask if I will be their Realtor. That is such a blessing!
Did You Experience Failures? If So, What Did You Learn From Them?
I love this quote, There is a lesson to be learned from everything, including failing. Perhaps the greatest benefit earned from failure is strength. Think about it: if life were perfect and every endeavor ended in seamless success, what sort of person would you be? The truth is this – failure teaches us more about ourselves and builds character better than success ever could.
What do you consider the main differences between those people who have been successful in your industry and those who have failed?
Consistency is the key to success . Consistency leads to habits. Habits form the actions we take every day. Action leads to success. As Anthony Robbins said : “It’s not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives.
