What inspired you to start in real estate and how did you motivate yourself to keep going?
I wanted to start in Real Estate because I realized it was a career I thought I could be good at and I could be my own boss. I had a drive to be the most successful version of myself. I wanted to prove that you didn’t need a college degree to make it in life if you pushed yourself hard enough and worked your ass off to get there. I want to be the example for my kids on what success means.
Comparing your business from back then to now, what has been the main thing that allowed you to expand your business?
Building relationships and being myself. Caring about other people and relating with them have been the key to my success in this business. Also, having the influence I now have on TikTok and Instagram has helped me connect with more people than ever before.
When did you realize you were successful/made it and how did you feel/celebrate?
For me personally, I realized I made it when I reached my goal of making six figures. A dream of mine I never could have imagined but at that moment I realized I did it, my hard work had paid off. I also realized I made it when I started getting personal referrals. That was most valuable to me to know that my clients had a great experience and that they are willing to trust me.
What should other real estate entrepreneurs reading this be focusing on to expand their own business?
Creating relationships, putting yourself out there, and never be someone you’re not. Don’t be afraid to let people in and be your true self. Provide value and share knowledge, the business will come to you. When you stop worrying about getting a sale and start building genuine relationships with people is when you will see a huge change in your business.
How has social media and online marketing affected your real estate business? How much more success have you had now after implementing social media and online marketing efforts?
Social media has been huge for my business. I’ve built my following on being myself, letting people into my life, being relatable, and creating funny content for people to enjoy. Millions of people share my videos, so the reach is exponential.
What do you consider the main differences between those people who have been successful in your industry and those who have failed?
I think the biggest mistake agents make is not being in touch with simple ways to stay in touch with people to grow their business. Staying in contact with the people around you, actually caring about what’s going on in their life, sharing free and valuable content on social media or through email. I think a lot of agents overthink this business or are scared to put themselves out there. Just do it! Great things never came from comfort zones. Step out and grow and be confident about doing it!
