What inspired you to start in real estate and how did you motivate yourself to keep going?

I have always been passionate about real estate since my earliest years. Growing up, my family owned a custom residential construction company in Pittsburgh, PA that afforded me the ability to view homes not just for their aesthetics but also for their structural integrity. After being a stay at home mom for 7 years I went through a divorce and knew to support myself and my kids real estate was where I needed to be. I’ve always been drawn to it.

Comparing your business from back then to now, what has been the main thing that allowed you to expand your business?

When I first got licensed I worked under a multi million dollar producing agent as his licensed real estate assistant. I really wanted to learn from experience and while that helped me learn it wasn’t until I Joined KingOne Properties and began marketing myself that allowed major growth in my
Business.

What should other real estate entrepreneurs reading this be focusing on to expand their own business?

Owning your niche and being present on social media every day. The potential for growth through social media is unparalleled.

How has social media and online marketing affected your real estate business? How much more success have you had now after implementing social media and online marketing efforts?

Most of my leads come from social media. Believe it or not Tik Tok has brought a wealth of leads. There is no where else you can get 400,000 views on a video promoting yourself for free. Before I really invested in making content i was feeling overwhelmed with how to acquire leads with a limited sphere and being a newer agent.

What do you consider the main differences between those people who have been successful in your industry and those who have failed?

I would consider the main difference between the people who are successful and the people who fail is self discipline and limited beliefs. In this business you have to hold yourself accountable to meet people, widen your sphere, and grow. When you are first starting out it can be really taunting to get rejection especially when you are working for commissions and no pay is promised.
