What inspired you to start in real estate and how did you motivate yourself to keep going?

I use to own gas stations so I love working with the public. I saw that my community needed better agents in the area to help guide them through the process of selling and buying. What’s motivating me to keep going is all the support that I receive from my community and also helping other agents become successful as well.

Comparing your business from back then to now, what has been the main thing that allowed you to expand your business?

I hardly sold many homes in my first year but looking back to when I started until now I have been blessed to say I have expanded my business tremendously. I have been able to take my business to another level and I am still not stopping!

 


 

What’s the most profitable aspect of your business, why do you think this is and how can others apply this to what they are doing?

 

Social media has helped me a lot. Doing videos and posting about each closing for my clients has helped me get more referrals. I think all agents should focus on social media!

 


When did you realize you were successful/made it and how did you feel/celebrate?

 

I realized I was successful after my 4th year in Real Estate. I knew that I could grow and take it to another level each and every year. It’s a great feeling to know my community can rely on me to be their go-to realtor.

 


 

Looking back, what could you have done sooner to get to that point quicker?

 

I would have started real estate in Raleigh NC instead of Syracuse NY. I think I would have been in a better position to lead others, but everything happens for a reason.

 


 

What should other real estate entrepreneurs reading this be focusing on to expand their own business?

 

Definitely reach out to everyone you know in your area to support you and send you referrals. Work on your social media platforms especially Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

 


 

How has social media and online marketing affected your real estate business? How much more success have you had now after implementing social media and online marketing efforts?

 

They have helped me take my business to another level. Social media has helped me build a business and sustain it because people see the success rate from all my posts.

How did you build your team?

I built a team by recruiting agents to come to Costello real estate that will be willing to learn and grow. I am helping agents succeed and take their business to another level.

 


 

How did you become a good leader?

Managing the family gas stations helped me become a good leader but Real Estate has also prepared me to be a good leader so I could help other agents grow.

 


 

Did You Experience Failures? If So, What Did You Learn From Them?

 

Yes I experienced failures, especially my first two years. I learned to change my ways of running my business and to never give up.

 


 

What do you consider the main differences between those people who have been successful in your industry and those who have failed?

 

The ones who succeeded definitely have the determination to never give up and the others that fail just don’t have the determination in them to succeed and they easily give up.

 


 

What’s Your Approach To Marketing?

 

I love making videos, especially for my listings.
